Our History
A Furniture Fair With Deep Singapore Roots

The roots of APFF can be traced back to 1983, when the Singapore furniture industry organised the first Asia Pacific Furniture Fair.
The inaugural fair achieved significant success and subsequently became an annual event, establishing itself as an important platform for Singapore's furniture industry.
HISTORY TIMELINE
1926
The Beginning of Singapore's Furniture Association
The organisation that would eventually become the Singapore Furniture Association was founded as the Chinese Furniture Dealer's Association, representing furniture businesses in Singapore.
1964
Singapore's First Furniture Fair
The first recorded Furniture Fair was held at Aljunied Housing Estate and received a commemorative certificate from Singapore's first President, Yusof Ishak.
1978
Singapore Connects With Asia
Singapore became involved with the Association of Furniture Industries in Asia, later known as the Council of Asia Pacific Furniture Associations, strengthening regional connections within the furniture industry.
1983
The Birth of APFF
The first Asia Pacific Furniture Fair was organised.
The event achieved huge success and went on to become an annual furniture exhibition — laying the foundation for what APFF represents today.

1990s
Growing Into a Regional Furniture Platform
The Asia Pacific Furniture Fair continued to feature in international furniture exhibition calendars. Historical exhibition records show APFF editions taking place in Singapore in 1993 and 1996, demonstrating its continued presence within the regional furniture exhibition scene.
2010
APFF Becomes an Independent Company
Asia Pacific Furniture Fair Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in Singapore on 22 January 2010, creating a dedicated organisation behind the fair.
2012
A New Generation of APFF
APFF continued its consumer exhibition programme, with the 2012 fair featuring furniture and interior products. Historical records list the event taking place in Singapore from 28 April to 6 May 2012.
2017
APFF at Singapore EXPO
APFF was held at Singapore EXPO Hall 7, bringing furniture and home products directly to consumers and homeowners.

APFF continues to evolve with the way Singaporeans live.
